  • What is KoodibooK and who can use it?
    What is KoodibooK?
    KoodibooK.com and KoodibooK Studio enable you to access your photos from many sources such as Flickr, Picasa, Facebook and MySpace, and then quickly and easily create a photobook. A KoodibooK photobook can be shared online in interactive 3D and published in a range of styles via our print partners around the world.
  • What is the end to end process of creating, publishing and buying a photobook?
    There is a step-by-step interactive guide on the Tutorials page which details the process, from selecting images from various sources, to self-publishing and selling your book. This guide can be accessed here
  • How do I add or delete a photobook?
    When you start up the KoodibooK Studio application you are presented with your bookshelf containing books you’ve been working on. This allows you to open them for editing, delete them or to start a brand new one. To create a new photo book, just double-click on the open Bookshelf icon New Book(or single click it and then click on the “Start new project” button) and you’ll be able to walk through our new book wizard to pick all the settings and content you need to make a great book. To delete a book, click on it in the bookshelf and press the Delete button.
  • What if I am new to photobooks and a novice at editing?
    KoodibooK prides itself on being so easy to use that you can make books without help, but equally we understand that some people appreciate a professional touch. In the future we hope to offer third party design advice and commission options.
  • Can I use KoodibooK from a different country and in a different language?
    KoodibooK was created with the global market in mind and we’ll soon be shipping to anyone anywhere in the world, but currently KoodibooK Studio and KoodibooK.com are only available in English and we ship exclusively within the UK. Of course you can create books in languages other than English using the English version KoodibooK Studio.
  • Is KoodibooK appropriate for small businesses?
    Absolutely! We’ve focused on photobooks initially but have lots of plans to expand to support the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. If you have a portfolio, business presentation, catalogue or anything else that you want to both present online and show off through high quality online photo printing then KoodibooK could be ideal for you.
  • I can create photobooks elsewhere, so what makes KoodibooK different?
    This is a fair question. We at KoodibooK pride ourselves that we offer a great range of image sourcing and printing options. But we are still a small company, and this comes with its own advantages: a personal service, Already, KoodibooK offers a comparatively great range of image sourcing options and printing options, and this number is constantly growing.


    With KoodibooK you can be creative and share your creations with others in 3D at terrific speed. And it's all completely free!



  • How do I sign up with KoodibooK and overcome login difficulties?
  • Signing up
    Go to the sign-up page at http://www.koodibook.com/my/account/Register/. Then fill out the online registration with your unique username, email address and password (6 characters minimum). This information is stored in our database with your password encrypted so you can be assured that we won’t share your information with any third parties except under limited and necessary circumstances. Don’t forget to read our privacy policy to learn more at http://www.koodibook.com/Privacy/
  • What should my password be?
    Try to make your password easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess. We recommend a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.
    Passwords must be at least 6 characters long and are case sensitive, in other words ‘ILoveKoodibooK’ is different to ‘ilovekoodibook’.
  • Why do I have to give my e-mail address to use KoodibooK?
    You don’t have to register to try out KoodibooK or view public content on the website, but if you wish to self-publish, buy or sell photobooks, and contribute to the community, we need a way to contact you.
  • What if I can’t log in?
    Failing to log in could be due to a number of things, so here are some things to try:

    • o Refresh the page to ensure the website is up and running. It is best to close and re-open your browser or use CTRL and F5 to do a full refresh, in case pages have been cached. If this results in an error page, please check that your internet connection is working by trying to access a different website (i.e. Bing or Google).
    • <
    • o If the website is functioning, it’s possible you entered your KoodibooK username or password incorrectly. Try re-typing both your username and password slowly, while ensuring that CAPS LOCK is disabled on your keyboard.
    If the website is working and your username and password are both correct, the error may be with our server. Try navigating to http://www.koodibook.com/Support/ to see we're already aware of any issues. If not, please drop us an email at support@koodibook.com and we’ll do our best to help.
  • How do I reset or change my password?
    Change your password on the Account Settings page by selecting My Profile, clicking the orange Change Password button and entering your old and new passwords.
  • How do I edit my KoodibooK profile?
    You can change your profile information by going to your Account Settings (top-right link on the koodibook.com homepage) or directly at http://www.koodibook.com/my/account



  • How do I download the software and what will it cost?
  • How do I download the software?
    Downloading the KoodibooK application is easy. Simply click on the "Get Started" button on the home page (or click here) and follow the step-by-step instructions.
  • How much does it cost to download?
    The KoodibooK software and website are absolutely free. Our goal is to help as many people as possible to enjoy sharing and creating original books using KoodibooK.

    Not only is the software free, we also request none of your personal details to download the application. By offering you the tools to build beautiful and high-quality books for free, we hope that once you complete a book you feel is print-worthy, you’ll consider publishing it with us. We offer a wide range of print options, from low budget books to professional albums for you to bring your memories to life.

    Because some people ask for greater flexibility and features more advanced than those currently available, we’ll shortly be offering premium and professional upgrades and provide supplemental content for optional purchase, such as professionally-designed themes for your photobooks.
  • The download is very slow... why is that?
    If your version of Windows doesn't update automatically you may be missing some important Windows Updates or components. Not to worry, the KoodibooK installer will try to update everything for you. But please bear in mind that since these updates can be very large in size, they may significantly increase the download time.
  • Why am I being asked to update my Windows Operating System?
    We’ve used the very latest Microsoft technology to ensure that you get the best experience possible. Staying up to date with Windows Updates because offers you greater functionality in general, because security issues are fixed and released regularly.
  • What is the .NET Framework and why have I been asked to install it?
    The .NET framework is used by KoodibooK to create a great experience and Microsoft requires the latest version is installed to run KoodibooK.
  • What is ClickOnce?
    ClickOnce is a simple way to install software on Windows. It speeds up the KoodibooK installation process and ensures you are always automatically running the latest version of KoodibooK .
  • Will KoodibooK work with my Mac or Linux based computer?
    The KoodibooK website works well on Mac and Linux machines, so you can browse, comment, rate and buy books with ease. KoodibooK Studio, however, was built to work in conjunction with the latest Microsoft technology and runs on Windows. We may release a Mac version in the future, but currently the software runs exclusively on Windows.
  • What kind of computer and internet connection do I need to use KoodibooK?
    KoodibooK should run on any PC bought in the last few years. Our recommended specifications are available on http://www.koodibook.com/Download

    Internet access is required for the downloading process, registration, online image searches and website, but once you download the KoodibooK application you can use it offline. If you are interested in self-publishing your photobooks you will need to be connected to the internet to upload them.
  • I installed KoodibooK previously and can’t update it. What should I do?
    KoodibooK typically updates itself automatically, but if you are having problems please try the following:

    • o Find the KoodibooK icon in the tray at the bottom-right of your screen (which is slightly hidden away in Windows 7). Right-click this icon and select Exit to close everything down.
    • Open up Control Panel and then remove the KoodibooK program from the “Programs and Features” or “Add and Remove Programs” section.
    • Try to install KoodibooK again from http://www.koodibook.com/Download



  • What applications and devices can I use with KoodibooK?
  • Supported Image providers
    KoodibooK ensures you’re not limited to your camera. Our software can fetch content from a wide range of sources: the web, your computer, CDs and DVDs, and memory sticks. It also lets you to use your online images from websites including Facebook, Myspace, Flickr, Photobucket, Picassa, DropBox and Tweet Photo.

    We pride ourselves that KoodibooK is an incredibly versatile application, so if your preferred image host isn’t supported by KoodibooK Studio yet, drop us a line!
  • How do I reset or change my password?
    You can change your password by clicking on the “Change Password” button on http://www.koodibook.com/my/account and entering your existing and new passwords.
  • What are the KoodibooK Mobile applications for?
    We want to let KoodibooK users to publish books anywhere, and be able to share them with friends, family, and anyone else with a shared interest. Both the iPhone and Windows Phone 7 Devices present thereselves as an ideal platform to allow mobile viewing of books anywhere.
  • What other mobile phones does KoodibooK support?
    We’re rolling out the iPhone KoodibooK Mobile application first, and Android and Windows Phone 7 next.
  • How do I nominate my book to be featured?
    To be considered for a Featured Book slot, upload a public book to the website and spread the word to your friends! We select the four most popular or highly-rated KoodibooKs to be featured for at least one week, or until they are succeeded by another. These terms are subject to change and a basic quality control.
  • What is the Facebook application for?
    Like us, many of our friends use Facebook, and we thought it would be a great way to share the terrific books being produced on KoodibooK. To find our Facebook application, search for “KoodibooK” in the Facebook search area, or go to http://apps.facebook.com/koodibook. Here, you can view your own KoodibooKs as well as your Facebook friends’ KoodibooKs, post updates to your wall, add comments and more.
  • What does “linking accounts” in Facebook mean?
    Linking your Facebook account to your KoodibooK account lets you to view your bookshelf when logged into Facebook.



  • Privacy and copyrights
  • Do I have control of who can view my photobook if I publish to the website?
    Upon publishing your books, KoodibooK Studio offers you have the option to make your book public or private. The option for premium users to share books with a select audience is coming soon, but in the meantime private books are only viewable by the person who uploads them.
  • What rights does KoodibooK have over my work?
    Your material remains yours, and you merely give KoodibooK license to use it. For more details please refer to the Terms of Use page and the End User License Agreement (EULA) in KoodibooK Studio.



  • Printing, KoodibooK promotions and other issues
  • In KoodibooK Studio designer mode, what is the hatched area on pages and on the cover of my book?
    These areas indicate the parts of the cover and pages which you need to be aware of when placing images or text. In the case of hardcover books, it indicates the area which may be wrapped around the edge of the cover and the area around the spine which may be obscured when the book is closed. In the case of pages it shows the 'bleed area' which may be cut in the trimming process and the 'gutter area' which curves into the spine.
  • What is Print on Demand? Is KoodibooK appropriate for printing just a few copies?
    Print On Demand (or POD) is a fast, efficient, and green way to self-publish and print only as many copies of a book as you wish. In other words, it lets you print only one or two copies, instead of being charged a fortune to buy hundreds more books than you need.
  • How can I get my book listed on Amazon and Barnes & Noble?
    This feature is coming soon along with ISBN numbers and barcodes.
  • Can I sell my work and make a profit?
    Yes, we think it’s important to let our community members set a price on their books and profit financially from their hard work. To add royalties to the base price of your book, go to the My Bookshelf page and under Payment settings click the orange Add Paypal Account button. Once you have connected your Paypal account to your KoodibooK account, return to My Bookshelf. Select the book you wish to earn profit on, click the Edit button and enter the desired amount under Markup.
